Las Vegas is literally a desert; sometimes I wonder why in the world did people decided it would be a good idea to go and live there. The summers are so hot, if you go out into the streets during day time it feels like you're inside of an oven.
So imagine my surprised when I learned that there is actually a wetland in Vegas, not 15km from the city center! A bunch of us photographers headed there even before the gates were opened at around 6 in the morning, and it was totally worth it. The air was damp and cold, the place was beautiful with lots of birds, bunnies and many other wildlife roaming around, and all around it was fun to hang around. Until the sun came out that is.
